Bojangles Debuts Famous Carolina Flavor with First Oklahoma Restaurant

Southern favorite opens at 13135 North Pennsylvania Avenue, featuring giveaways and appearance from Oklahoma Wildcatter Kase Hitt

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bojangles, the legendary, Carolina-born chain celebrated for its iconic chicken, biscuits and tea, has officially landed in Oklahoma City. The new restaurant, located at 13135 North Pennsylvania Avenue, officially opened its doors to the public today at 5:00 a.m. As the latest addition to Bojangles’ growing footprint, the restaurant features “Carolina Legend” decor that brings the brand’s heritage to life. From visuals to atmosphere, every detail is designed to give fans a true taste of where Bojangles comes from.

To celebrate the opening, Bojangles kicked things off with a special opening moment. The first 100 customers at the door received $100 gift cards, custom Bojangles merchandise including denim caps, Oklahoma City-themed stickers and water bottles. In addition, 10 lucky customers were randomly selected to win free breakfast for a year, giving them the chance to enjoy Oklahoma City’s newest chicken spot every single day.

The celebration will continue into the afternoon at 3 p.m. as the restaurant transforms into a full-scale block party. Guests can enjoy a live DJ, a mechanical bull and a special appearance by Kase Hitt, an Oklahoma Wildcatter, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Wildcatter team will also give away branded merchandise, host a sweepstakes for a game-worn item and raffle off tickets to Wildcatter Days 2026. From great food to high-energy entertainment, fans are invited to eat, dance and even test their skills on the mechanical bull.

This expansion into Oklahoma marks a significant step in Bojangles' strategic growth plan. Primarily known throughout the Southeast, Bojangles has steadily expanded its footprint in recent years, bringing its bold Southern flavors and iconic made-from-scratch biscuits to new markets across the country. That growth now includes major metropolitan areas in states such as Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas.

"We are ecstatic about introducing Bojangles to the Sooner state and bringing our unique Southern charm to its capital city," said Jose Armario, CEO of Bojangles. "Our recent expansions into markets have been met with tremendous enthusiasm, and we are confident that the community will embrace our delicious offerings with the same excitement."

Ahead of the grand opening, Bojangles invited local media and Oklahoma City community leaders to an exclusive preview event, where guests enjoyed tastes of menu favorites like the Bo’s Chicken Sandwich, Bo’s Chicken Tenders and Bo-Berry Biscuits, took a sneak peek inside the new restaurant, and joined a biscuit-cutting ceremony to mark the milestone.
