Bausch + Lomb Releases 2025 Sustainability Impact Report

The Broader Perspective framework sets direction for long-term environmental and social impact

VAUGHAN, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bausch + Lomb Corporation (NYSE/TSX: BLCO), a leading global eye health company dedicated to helping people see better to live better, today announced the release of its 2025 Sustainability Impact Report, outlining progress against its environmental, social and governance priorities and introducing The Broader Perspective, the company’s sustainability framework designed to guide future action and accountability.

Anchored in the belief that seeing the full picture leads to smarter decisions and greater impact, the new framework highlights how Bausch + Lomb is working across its global operations and value chain to reduce emissions, prevent waste from the start and build sustainable foundations grounded in integrity, safety and respect.

Advancing Toward Net Zero by 2050
The report reaffirms Bausch + Lomb’s global commitment to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and outlines actions taken in 2025 to strengthen its decarbonization foundation, including:

  • Expanding renewable energy use across multiple global locations and advancing onsite solar installations
  • Developing a Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions inventory across key categories
  • Establishing an energy reduction playbook to improve energy efficiency at manufacturing sites
  • Identifying primary energy demands for contact lens manufacturing and decreasing power demand for compressed air by 10 percent at the company’s Rochester, New York site

Preventing Waste from the Start
Bausch + Lomb continued to advance circularity and waste reduction initiatives in 2025, focusing on product and packaging design, regulatory readiness and customer engagement by:

  • Advancing packaging reduction and material optimization in response to Extended Producer Responsibility requirements
  • Delivering Biotrue® ONEday daily disposable contact lenses with 50 percent lighter weight plastic and reduced carton size
  • Avoiding approximately 25 tons of paper waste since 2023 by transitioning certain products to electronic Instructions for Use
  • Supporting closed‑loop solutions through programs such as ONE by ONE® and Every Contact Counts recycling programs and the Red Carpet® Repair Service

Building from Integrity and Respect
The report underscores the foundational role of ethics, employee wellbeing and patient safety in Bausch + Lomb’s sustainability journey, highlighting progress including:

  • Registering more than 90% of invited suppliers in the Company’s Vendor Risk Management program
  • Maintaining global certifications across environmental, zero waste, health, safety and energy management systems
  • Supporting access to vision care and community impact programs, including partnerships that benefit Optometry Giving Sight and The Seeing Eye®
  • Advancing innovation in eye health technology, including AI‑enabled diagnostics and new product delivery systems designed to improve patient outcomes
