Wellpoint and the Boston Bruins Launch Second Annual Teachers’ Lounge Makeover Contest

Bay Staters encouraged to submit nominations by April 17 for a chance to win a teachers’ lounge makeover for their school

WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wellpoint, a health benefits company in Massachusetts, is once again partnering with the Boston Bruins to kick off the Second Annual Teachers' Lounge Makeover Contest, recognizing teachers and school personnel for their contributions to our communities. The community is invited to nominate outstanding schools, where their respective teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to enrich student lives and enhance educational outcomes.

Baker School in Brookline was named the inaugural winner of the Teachers’ Lounge Makeover Contest, receiving a refreshed space with new furniture, updated amenities, and healthy snacks to support staff collaboration and well-being. The makeover brought a meaningful moment of celebration to the school community after they experienced the loss of a beloved colleague.

Wellpoint and the Boston Bruins invite the community to visit the contest page at bostonbruins.com/teacherloungemakeover by Friday, April 17 to nominate a deserving school for a chance to win. Fans will be prompted to answer the question, “Why should the school be picked for a teachers’ lounge makeover?” If selected, the school’s teachers’ lounge will receive a complete makeover including a paint refresh, new furniture, and more.
