Ant Group Releases Ling-2.5-1T and Ring-2.5-1T, Evolving Its Open-Source AI Model Family

HANGZHOU, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ant Group today announced the release of Ling-2.5-1T, its newest trillion-parameter large language model, and Ring-2.5-1T, the world’s first hybrid linear-architecture thinking model. Both models represent the latest evolution of the Ling 2.0 series unveiled in October 2025, and are now available under open licenses on Hugging Face and ModelScope.

Ling-2.5-1T is the latest flagship in Ant Group’s Ling model series. It is designed to deliver higher reasoning efficiency, enable fine-grained preference alignment, and support native agent interaction. Ling-2.5-1T allows context lengths of up to 1 million tokens and delivers strong performance with significantly reduced token usage compared to prior generations. On AIME 2026, for example, it matches the performance of frontier thinking models that typically require 15k–23k tokens, while using only about 5,890 tokens.

Ring-2.5-1T is the newest iteration of the Ring series, Ant Group’s line of reasoning-optimized models. Built on a hybrid linear architecture, Ring-2.5-1T is better suited for advanced reasoning tasks and has achieved gold-tier results on academic benchmarks, including IMO 2025: 35/42 (Gold Medal standard) and CMO 2025: 105/126 (surpassing China’s national team cutoff).

On February 11, Ant Group also released Ming-Flash-Omni-2.0, a large-scale omni model and the industry’s first model to unify speech, audio, and music within a single architecture.

Together, these models represent a comprehensive upgrade across Ant Group’s open-sourced Ling (also known as BaiLing) model family, which comprises three main series: the Ling non-thinking models, the Ring thinking models, and the multimodal Ming series. They also mark another step in Ant Group’s on-going efforts toward Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
