Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ President, Brent Consedine, Named to Prestigious Swanepoel Power 200 List

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties proudly announces that President Brent Consedine has been named to the 2026 Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200), earning a ranking of No. 192 on the highly respected list of the most influential leaders in residential real estate.

The Swanepoel Power 200 is widely regarded as the definitive ranking of power and influence in the real estate industry, recognizing executives who shape strategy, operations, culture, and the future of the business nationwide. Consedine’s inclusion reflects more than two decades of leadership excellence and his continued impact on one of the nation’s largest and most successful brokerages.

As President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Consedine leads a company spanning 42 offices and 2,200 agents spanning San Luis Obispo to San Diego. In 2024 alone, under his leadership and in partnership with the executive team, the brokerage completed over 6,700 transactions totaling $11.4 billion in sales volume, reinforcing its position as the No. 2 brokerage globally by volume within the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network.

“Brent’s leadership combines strategic vision with genuine empathy and operational discipline,” said Chris Kelly, President & CEO of HomeServices of America. “His ability to guide the organization through market volatility, regulatory change, and crisis—while keeping agent success and culture at the center—exemplifies modern, values-driven leadership.”

Consedine has played a key role in expanding the company’s footprint through new office openings in Paso Robles, Westlake Village, and Encino, and in recruiting multiple brokerages in Los Angeles and Orange County, resulting in hundreds of agents joining the brand. Under his tenure, the company is home to three of the top five agents globally within the BHHS brand and nearly half of the top 25 agents worldwide. He has also helped elevate the firm’s Commercial Division from No. 4 to No. 2 globally for the brand.

His leadership has been particularly visible during periods of industry and community crisis. Consedine successfully guided the company through major regulatory changes stemming from national class-action litigation, contributing to the development of new California Association of REALTORS®-aligned forms and business practices. He also led the organization’s response to the Pacific Palisades and Altadena fires, coordinating agent relocations, transaction support hotlines, rental assistance programs, fraud-prevention communications, and a national fundraising effort that generated tens of thousands of dollars for affected communities—despite the loss of two offices.

Beyond performance metrics, Consedine is recognized for championing inclusion, philanthropy, and community engagement. He actively supports the company’s Charitable Foundation and IMPACT Council and regularly participates in initiatives such as EmpowerHER events, Pride Parade activities, VAREP fundraising, and first-time homebuyer seminars. These efforts have earned the company national recognition, including honors from its parent organization.

Operationally, Consedine oversees a complex and profitable enterprise, including brokerage and escrow operations. He leads Pickford Escrow, which maintains SSAE No. 18 (SOC 1) Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, underscoring a commitment to compliance, data security, and trust.

“Being named to the Swanepoel Power 200 is an honor that reflects the collective efforts of our leadership team, agents, and staff,” said Consedine. “I’m proud to lead an organization that prioritizes integrity, innovation, and service to our communities.”

Consedine’s ranking on the 2026 Swanepoel Power 200 reinforces his standing as one of the most influential executives in residential real estate and highlights Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ continued leadership within the industry.
