Major General Thomas Bouchard, USA (Ret.) Joins Academy Securities’ Advisory Board and Geopolitical Intelligence Group

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, the nation’s first Post-9/11 veteran owned and operated investment bank, today announced the addition of Major General Thomas Bouchard to its Geopolitical Intelligence Group. The Academy GIG consists of 36 US and UK Admirals & Generals, former NASA Astronauts, and former CIA/FBI Leadership. Academy has been advising clients for over a decade and is the preeminent Advisory on geostrategic risk to the markets.

Major General Thomas Bouchard retired from the United States Army in 2023, concluding his service as the Deputy Commander for Mobilization and Reserve Affairs at U.S. Special Operations Command. Before this role, he served as the Future Operations Officer for the Rhode Island National Guard Joint Force Headquarters and earlier commanded the Special Operations Detachment–Global. In parallel to his military service, he spent nearly two decades with Deutsche Asset Management, working first as a high-yield analyst and later as a portfolio manager.

General Bouchard earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before completing his MBA in Finance at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. He went on to receive a Master of Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and later completed a Master of Strategic Studies at the United States Army War College.
