Restaurant celebrated with special preview tasting to thank and honor local first responders and community groups

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bojangles, the legendary, Carolina-born chain celebrated for its iconic chicken, biscuits and breakfast, has opened its doors in the state of New York. Located at 5910 Church Ave. in Brooklyn, the restaurant opened to the public today at 5 a.m. It will operate for 24 hours, with the dining room closing at midnight and the drive-thru remaining open all day.

The Brooklyn location marks a new era for Bojangles, which is experiencing significant growth and bringing its signature flavors and hospitality to even more fans throughout the country.

“Opening in New York is a powerful moment for Bojangles and a meaningful step in our journey to become a truly national brand,” said Jose Armario, CEO of Bojangles. “We’re excited to bring our Southern roots, bold flavors, and hospitality to one of the most iconic markets in the world, and to grow alongside a franchise partner who shares our vision for what Bojangles can be.”

Bojangles has been a pillar of Southern flavor since its founding in 1977 and is best known for its signature hand-breaded chicken, freshly baked made-from-scratch biscuits, Legendary Iced Tea® and crave-worthy “fixins” like Seasoned Fries, Dirty Rice and Mac & Cheese.

The Brooklyn restaurant is part of a 20-unit deal by experienced restaurant owner and operator Habib Hashimi and Hashimi Holding Corporation to bring Bojangles to New York City over the next 10 years.

“This opening is about more than just great Bojangles chicken and biscuits – it’s a celebration of joining the East Flatbush community and bringing our food and philosophy to New York neighbors everywhere,” said Hashimi. “We’re excited to introduce our Southern hospitality and famous flavors to East Flatbush and the surrounding community – and proud to kick things off by honoring the local heroes who keep it safe.”
