Dedicated Support from SCE Available to Help Make Claim Submissions Easy for Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program

Payments continue, resources available to enable more Fast Pay offers.

Community members asked for more frequent updates on the program and wildfire recovery efforts. This update is part of our commitment to keep them informed.

ROSEMEAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern California Edison remains committed to meeting the needs of community members and delivering dedicated support to serve the high level of interest in its Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program. On-demand resources and one-on-one assistance are available in multiple languages to eligible individuals and businesses impacted by the Eaton Fire through Nov. 30, 2026 – including the final weeks of December 2025.

When the program launched on Oct. 29, SCE committed to process claims quickly (within 90 days of being substantially complete) and deliver fast payments (within 30 days, after all conditions have been satisfied). Less than two months later, offers are being extended and accepted, and more payments are being made. In fact, all settlement agreements satisfied by noon on Dec. 26, 2025 will have payments issued by year-end, provided there are no pending actions related to minors.

“It’s been a challenging, trying year for the community,” said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, SCE’s parent company. “Our team recognizes the urgency and is focused on making it quick and easy for claimants to take the next step toward recovery, especially during the holiday season.”

Claimants can access a wide range of support options tailored to their needs, including:

  • Online Resources: Access detailed guidance, sample offers and frequently asked questions in English and Spanish on the Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program webpage.
  • One-on-One Support in Multiple Languages. Connect with trained team members at 888-912-8528.

    • Christmas Day and New Year’s Day: closed
  • In-Person Appointments: Schedule face-to-face support by calling 888-912-8528, also available in multiple languages.

The company is dedicated to helping the community recover. Over 18,000 properties are eligible. As of noon on Dec. 23, participation in the program includes:

  • Callers receiving one-on-one support: 2,445
  • In-person sessions booked: 215
  • Total claims submitted: 1,669
  • Percentage of claims submitted by plaintiffs’ attorneys: 22%
  • Number of claimants and household members involved: 3,650
  • Offers extended: 45
  • Payments made: 8

On average, it takes just over 90 minutes to complete the claim form. In-person appointments are available to guide claimants through the requirements and help them get started. Participation in the program is completely voluntary.

There are many forms of compensation available through the program, including support for renters and owners to compensate for displacement and temporary housing. In fact, one of the updates to the program was a 17% increase to the monthly fair rental value calculation. It’s one of multiple compensation components included as part of an offer.
