D.A. Davidson Bolsters Industrial Technology Banking Coverage with Veteran Banker Hire

Appointment accelerates D.A. Davidson’s Diversified Industrials growth strategy and positions the firm to service a broader spectrum of industrial technology clients across the U.S. and beyond.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--D.A. Davidson & Co. has appointed industry veteran Ankit Kumar as Director to its Investment Banking group, advancing the firm’s multi-year strategy to expand its Industrial Technology coverage following the recent addition of Jay Hernandez.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ankit to our Chicago office, one of our key hubs for Equity Capital Markets,” said Rory McKinney, President of Equity Capital Markets at D.A. Davidson. “His expertise will further strengthen our Industrial Technology coverage and support the continued growth of our platform in this critical market.”

With over a decade of experience in industrials investment banking, Kumar has advised on mergers and acquisitions, sales, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, activist defense and debt, and equity issuances. Most recently, he worked with Robert W. Baird developing deep domain expertise across Industrial Technology, Climate & Infrastructure Solutions, as well as Machinery & Equipment advising both small and mid-cap corporate clients. Prior, he worked with Goldman Sachs in their Industrial Group in New York focusing on large cap M&A and IPO transactions and covering corporate clients in the broader Industrials space.

“As industrial technology continues to transform global manufacturing with automation, robotics, and advanced systems, we see significant opportunities for innovation and investment,” added Eric Stetler, Head of Diversified Industrials and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at D.A. Davidson. “By expanding our expertise, we’re committing to helping our clients unlock value in this fast-moving market.”
