GlobalLogic Announces Strategic Leadership Appointments to Drive Next Phase of Growth

Appointments reflect company’s commitment and focus on scaling innovation due to rapid transformation and immense possibilities created by Generative, Agentic, and Physical AI

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group Company and leader in digital engineering, today announced key leadership transitions and promotions to its senior leadership team. Sumit Sood will be transitioning to the new, critical executive role of Chief Synergy and Transformation Officer, Ethan Matyas has been appointed to Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), Vishal Anand has been named Chief Operations Officer (COO), and Vikas Kaul has been appointed Chief People Officer (CPO). These appointments are effective as of December 1, 2025.

These strategic leadership appointments were driven by the evolution to meet the changing needs of GlobalLogic’s growing business and the rapid transformation and immense possibilities that Generative, Agentic, and Physical AI continue to create for clients and society. The appointments reflect GlobalLogic’s commitment and focus on scaling innovation, optimizing its global delivery model, and maximizing the immense opportunity presented by its role within the Hitachi Group.

Sumit Sood, Chief Synergy and Transformation Officer

Sumit Sood will transition from Chief Operating Officer to the newly created and critical executive role of Chief Synergy and Transformation Officer. His primary focus will be to accelerate the strategic collaboration with Hitachi and the "True One Hitachi" vision. Sood will lead the Synergy Business Unit to drive digital transformation (DX) across the group to drive an integrated approach to Agentic AI development. He will also continue to lead GlobalLogic’s AI transformation and comprehensive AI-powered service offerings through GlobalLogic VelocityAI, while maintaining leadership of the CTO organization, Practices, and the Data and Intelligence Engineering businesses.

Ethan Matyas, Chief Delivery Officer (CDO)

Ethan Matyas has been appointed Chief Delivery Officer (CDO), a role reflecting the significant importance of client delivery and the company's evolution to a global delivery model with end-to-end responsibility for delivery across all regions and portfolios. Previously serving as Group Vice President & Head of Engineering & Delivery, Matyas’ new transformation mandate as CDO is to strengthen the ability to deliver complex programs, ensure a unified "One GlobalLogic" client experience, and evolve project structures toward broader engagements. He will also embed AI adoption across all projects, with a focus on advancing business transformation goals with GlobalLogic VelocityAI and leading strategic programs to scale innovation and improve productivity, quality, and financial performance.

Vishal Anand, Chief Operations Officer (COO)

In a strategic shift to support the company’s continued growth, Vishal Anand, previously Group Vice President, Head of Global Business Operations, and Head of Americas, has been appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO). In this role, Anand is responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring all systems, processes, and capabilities scale effectively. He will lead Global Operations, which includes the Talent Acquisition Group (TAG), Learning & Development (L&D), Global Business Operations, and Delivery Assurance. Anand will also oversee Global P&L Governance, enhance technology talent capabilities, and maintain his leadership position as Leader for Americas Engineering and Delivery.

Vikas Kaul, Chief People Officer (CPO)

Vikas Kaul has been appointed Chief People Officer (CPO). Leveraging over 25 years of HR and business leadership experience, including over 15 years in various executive roles within Hitachi, Kaul will now lead GlobalLogic’s global people strategy. His mandate includes fostering a high-performance culture, driving strategic talent development, and championing workforce innovation that cultivates an AI-curious mindset across the organization. Kaul will play a pivotal role in strengthening GlobalLogic’s position as a destination for top global digital talent, ensuring organizational agility, and building the dynamic workforce essential for the company’s continued growth and transformation.
