Elaine McCusker Joins Academy Securities’ Advisory Board and Geopolitical Intelligence Group

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, the nation’s first Post-9/11 veteran owned and operated investment bank, today announced the addition of Elaine McCusker to its Advisory Board and Geopolitical Intelligence Group.

Elaine McCusker joins Academy with over 30 years of defense and national security experience across the private sector, academia, and government service. She currently serves as a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where she publishes on defense strategy, programs, budgets, and reform. Previously, she served as Acting Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), responsible for developing, justifying, and executing the Department’s then $700 billion annual budget in support of the National Defense Strategy. Earlier, as Director of Resources and Analysis at U.S. Central Command, she led efforts to modernize the command’s capabilities for allocating forces, equipment, and funding to support strategic objectives.
