Pipedrive Appoints Regi Vengalil as CFO to Drive Next Stage of AI-Native Growth

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pipedrive, the easy and effective sales CRM for small companies, today announced the appointment of Regi Vengalil as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Vengalil brings nearly two decades of financial and strategic leadership experience from high-growth SaaS, fintech, and AI-driven companies, guiding companies through complex market landscapes and driving clarity and discipline in financial operations.

Vengalil joins Pipedrive from Trax Retail, a leader in AI image recognition software for consumer packaged goods companies, where he has served as CFO since 2022. He also sits on the board of Porch Group (NASDAQ: PRCH) and chairs its M&A Committee. Previously, he was CFO of Metromile (acquired by Lemonade), held multiple senior roles at Expedia Group, including CFO of Egencia, and led strategy, M&A, and business operations at LendingClub. Earlier in his career, he led teams advising companies on growth strategy at McKinsey & Company. He holds an MBA and a BS in Finance, both earned with honors, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

In his new role at Pipedrive, Vengalil will oversee Pipedrive’s global Finance organization, covering payments, pricing, corporate strategy, and legal operations, as the company expands its AI-native product capabilities and advances its long-term growth plans.

“Pipedrive is entering an important new phase of growth as we build the next generation of our product,” said Paulo Cunha, CEO of Pipedrive. “Our vision to lead in AI-native CRM requires exceptional financial leadership. Regi has a proven track record of guiding high growth companies through major transitions, and he brings the right combination of operational expertise and strategic judgment. His leadership will help us scale faster and deliver greater impact for the small businesses that depend on Pipedrive.”

“I am genuinely excited to be joining Pipedrive,” said Vengalil. “Throughout my career, I’ve gravitated toward teams that care deeply about their customers and focus on solving real problems. Supporting small businesses earlier in my career showed me how vital they are to the global economy, and my time in AI-driven companies makes this moment in the industry especially energizing. What drew me to Pipedrive was the chance to bring that experience to a company built around helping small businesses succeed. I’m looking forward to contributing to the next phase of growth.”
