Pipedrive Launches Nova to Turn Sales Meetings Into CRM Intelligence

Built into Pipedrive, Nova briefs salespeople before meetings, records and transcribes calls, and drafts CRM updates afterward to reduce admin work and keep deal data current.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pipedrive, the easy and intelligent CRM for small and medium-sized businesses, today announced the general availability of Nova, an AI meeting intelligence tool built directly into Pipedrive. Pipedrive Nova briefs salespeople before calls using logged context, records and transcribes conversations during the meeting, and drafts the resulting CRM updates afterward. Nova operates within the platform’s infrastructure without requiring a separate AI tool to deploy or manage.

Snug saves up to an hour per sales meeting with Nova

Australian property technology company Snug piloted Nova ahead of its general availability. Snug's software is used by more than 73,000 property managers and 1.5 million renters across Australia. The company says Nova saves its six-person sales team between 30 minutes and one hour per sales meeting.

“Nova saves me at least half an hour to an hour per deal meeting in terms of note-taking, transcribing and follow-up action steps,” said Justin Butterworth, Founder and CEO of Snug. “The tool essentially triples the size and effectiveness of our sales team. We’re not having to do all of the manual sales administration, preparation, follow-up. We’re getting a second set of eyes and intelligence on every conversation.”

Sales teams are drowning in the work around selling

Pipedrive's 2026 CRM Trends Report, based on a survey of 1,000 sales and marketing professionals, found that 42% spend at least 40% of their working day on tasks that do not directly generate revenue. Only 11% say actively closing deals is among their most frequent weekly activities.

The work surrounding customer conversations adds to that burden. Pipedrive's report “The hidden cost of selling” found that 71% of professionals spend at least ten minutes preparing for every customer call by reviewing emails, CRM history and previous interactions. Nearly half (47%) say follow-ups or CRM updates frequently take more than 24 hours to complete.

Salespeople also want to remain in control of AI-generated work. The same report found that only 23% would be very comfortable with AI completing tasks automatically without their review, while 43% say the AI capability they want most is help drafting emails, summaries and notes that they can review before sending or saving.

“Everyone in this category is trying to build an autopilot, and I think that's the wrong plane to be flying. What actually helps a rep isn't more automation. It's more confidence. Nova gets everything else out of their way so reps can spend that energy doing the one thing they're actually paid to do: sell. That's what we built Nova to do,” said Joe Futty, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Pipedrive.

Meeting intelligence built to bring out every salesperson's best

Nova supports salespeople during and after customer meetings, with additional preparation where relevant CRM data is available:

  • Before the meeting: Nova brings together available context from deal history, emails and past conversations already logged in Pipedrive, so salespeople know where things left off and what to do next without searching through emails and CRM records.
  • During the meeting: Nova records the conversation so sales reps can focus on the customer rather than taking detailed notes. Reps can record through the desktop app, or use Nova’s visible notetaker in Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Nova gives users control over consent and notifications for meeting participants.
  • After the meeting: Nova generates a transcript and summary, highlights next steps, and suggests CRM updates such as deal stage, value and expected close date. Salespeople review, edit and approve the suggested changes, helping keep pipeline data accurate without manual entry or catching up later.

Pipedrive Nova is generally available globally from September 16, 2026, and included in all Pipedrive plans at no additional cost.
