HighByte Releases New MCP Services for Industrial AI

Industrial software company expands agentic AI support with new MCP Client and out-of-the-box MCP Server Tools with launch of HighByte Intelligence Hub version 4.3

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HighByte^®, an industrial software company, today announced the release of HighByte Intelligence Hub version 4.3 that expands support for agentic AI adoption on the factory floor. The release introduces a new MCP Client connection that allows industrial enterprises to localize, consolidate, and control access to third-party MCP servers, which have proliferated over the last twelve months with the market standardizing on Model Context Protocol (MCP). Version 4.3 also includes new out-of-the-box MCP Server Tools for popular connections like MQTT and OPC UA that are ideal for companies getting started with agentic AI use cases like asset maintenance and quality inspection.

According to independent analyst firm ABI Research, only 5% of factory floor data is currently processed for insight generation and value-added use cases. “With the rise of Generative and Agentic AI, data utilization and a proper data architecture are more important now than ever,” said Ryan Martin, Senior Research Director at ABI Research. “DataOps providers such as HighByte provide manufacturers with a centralized platform to manage, contextualize, and govern factory floor data in order to deploy agents that operate within an acceptable degree of accuracy.”

Users can also leverage new MCP Server Tools that expose pipeline configuration to AI agents. This enables users to build data pipelines in the Intelligence Hub with natural language. All MCP tools may be viewed and managed in the new MCP Services view.

The new High Availability (HA) capability in version 4.3 synchronizes system state and configuration to prevent data loss and improve reliability. The latest release also introduces deeper integrations with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. New connections to Microsoft Fabric OneLake, along with read support from Azure Blob Storage and Databricks SQL connectivity, simplify moving data into and out of the factory.
