PureTech Scientific Acquires Cymer Chemical’s Dayton, Tenn. Facility

Move marks inflection point for global glycolic acid innovation leader’s services and capabilities

BELLE, W.Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PureTech Scientific LLC (PureTech), a global leader in high-purity glycolic acid innovation and manufacturing, today announced the acquisition of Cymer Chemical’s Dayton, Tennessee operation, a specialty tolling manufacturer and provider of such services as chemical processing development, chemical blending and formulation, chemical sample analysis and classification, organic synthesis, and pilot, scale-up programs. PureTech was founded and backed by Iron Path Capital, a private equity firm specializing in lower-middle market investments across the specialty industrial and healthcare sectors.

PureTech Scientific - Dayton, TN manufactures glycolic acid across several grades, expanding PureTech’s capabilities and enabling the company to purify its own products for high-purity applications. Additionally, the site will be used to manufacture specialized products as well as serve other customers with their own chemical processing and manufacturing needs.
