Publix Vice President Announces Retirement Plan

Three Officer Promotions Announced

LAKELAND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Publix Super Markets CEO Kevin Murphy announced the retirement plan of Vice President of Internal Audit Linda Hall after 40 years of dedicated service and the promotion of three officers, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Hall, 65, has announced her decision to retire at the end of this year. Hall began her career in 1985 as a data processing auditor. She was promoted to internal audit manager in 1990 and then to director of internal audit in 1992. She has been in her current role since 2002.

“Linda’s commitment to improving our processes and ensuring our operations are efficient has made a significant impact on our business,” said Murphy. “We are thankful for her years of dedicated service and wish her all the best in her retirement.”

Hall is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends, and traveling.

With Hall’s retirement, Publix is pleased to announce the promotion of Meghan Vazquez to vice president of internal audit. Vazquez, 44, began her Publix career in 1997 as a front service clerk in Valrico, Florida. After serving in various roles in the customer service department, including customer service manager, she transitioned to internal audit in 2006. In 2014, she was named manager of internal audit and promoted to senior manager of internal audit in 2018. She has served in her current role, director of internal audit, since 2020.

Additionally, the company has announced the promotion of Aleece Tiedt to vice president and controller. Tiedt, 37, joined Publix in 2018 as a senior project manager in financial reporting. In 2021, she was named senior manager before being promoted to director of financial reporting in 2023. She was promoted to her current role, senior director of finance, earlier this year.

Publix is also proud to announce the promotion of Bill Hammond to vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary. Hammond, 60, started his career at Publix in 2018 as a healthcare attorney before being promoted to director of regulatory legal corporate counsel the following year. In 2022, he was named senior director of regulatory and litigation corporate counsel before being promoted to his current role, assistant general counsel, in 2024.
