Generative AI and Care Delivery

On Tuesday, October 21, 3:30 p.m. PDT in the HLTH AI Zone (Theater C), Amanda Heidemann, MD and Holden K. Groves, MD of New York-Presbyterian Hospital will present “Why Compromise on Trust? AI in Healthcare”. They will discuss how using GenAI in healthcare doesn’t have to mean choosing reliability, speed or privacy over the others. They will explore generative AI capabilities in UpToDate and what it takes to make a clinician-driven and trusted solution.

Attendees can experience demonstrations of UpToDate Expert AI showing how the generative recommendations are grounded in evidence and expert validation. Attendees can see what’s behind answers that are relevant and aligned with clinical standards.

Clinical Decision Support that works where clinicians work

In today’s fast-paced clinical environment, information is only valuable if it fits seamlessly into the workflow. Wolters Kluwer will be demonstrating:

  • UpToDate patient education in the Epic workflow
  • UpToDate Connect for digital health platforms
  • UpToDate for Retail pharmacies

A demonstration of UpToDate and Abridge will be shown in booth #3032. UpToDate will also be demonstrated with Dragon Copilot in the Microsoft booth #3860.

Healthcare is rapidly changing and becoming more complex. Modern health systems and leaders must keep pace with technological innovations, while balancing care quality and organizational goals. Demonstrations will be provided in the booth of:

  • UpToDate Enterprise Edition
  • UpToDate AI Enhanced Search and AI Enhanced Search - Mobile
  • UpToDate Analytics Dashboard
  • UpToDate Lexidrug
  • Medi-Span

According to a new report from leading research and advisory firm Outsell, Inc., UpToDate Expert AI “raises the bar for clinical decision support, delivering trusted, transparent AI in real workflows” stating:

“Wolters Kluwer just made a big play in the clinical decision support (CDS) market with the launch of UpToDate Expert AI. …this offer is not a generic chatbot, but a tool that draws strictly from UpToDate’s peer-reviewed, evidence-based content. Every answer stays grounded without hallucination and shows reasoning, assumptions, and citations.”
