Lieutenant General William David Beydler, USMC (Ret.) Joins Academy Securities’ Advisory Board and Geopolitical Intelligence Group

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, the nation’s first Post-9/11 veteran owned and operated investment bank, today announced the addition of Lieutenant General William David Beydler to its Advisory Board and Geopolitical Intelligence Group.

Lieutenant General “Dave” Beydler served over 37 years in the United States Marine Corps, culminating as Commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Central Command from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that assignment, he commanded II Marine Expeditionary Force, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Africa, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command. All told, he was selected for seven command assignments, five as a General Officer. A career naval aviator with approximately 4,000 flight hours (mostly in the F/A-18 aircraft), Lieutenant General Beydler also held commands at every operational level from Fighter Attack squadron to Marine Expeditionary Force. Following his military retirement, he served as Vice President for Maritime Dominance at Raytheon Intelligence and Space and continues to provide consulting expertise across defense and technology sectors.

General Beydler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. His military service has been recognized with several personal decorations, including the Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
