Comporium Promotes Brian Bendt to Vice President

Bendt to Lead the Company’s Network Services and Internet Planning and Development Teams

ROCK HILL, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comporium is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Bendt to Vice President of Network Services and Internet Planning & Development.

In his new role, Bendt will oversee teams responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of the systems that keep Comporium’s network running reliably for customers across all service areas. His leadership will guide key groups, including Internet Planning and Development, Network Support Services, Network Remote Operations, and Network Services.

“Brian has been a trusted leader within Comporium for more than two decades,” said Shaun Barnes, Comporium’s VP of Corporate Communications and Business Development. “His technical expertise and steady leadership have played a major role in advancing our broadband infrastructure and ensuring the quality of service our customers depend on every day.”

A licensed Professional Engineer, Bendt earned degrees in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and Physics from the College of Charleston. He began his Comporium career in 2000 as an Engineering Associate before advancing through several leadership roles, including Manager of Broadband Facilities Engineering in 2008 and Director of Broadband Facilities Engineering in 2015.

Beyond the office, Bendt is deeply involved in the community. He and his wife are raising two sons. One son is studying metalworking at the American College of Building Arts and the other plays varsity football and soccer at Northwestern High School. Bendt also serves as the Committee Chair for Boy Scouts Troop 33, continuing his commitment to servant leadership and community service.
