TekStream Brings Workforce Development Academy to NASCIO 2025 Annual

TekStream Continues to Redefine Workforce Development for Cybersecurity Talent

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TekStream, a cybersecurity and IT solutions leader, continues to expand its workforce development program by bringing its recently launched Workforce Academy to NASCIO’s 2025 Annual conference in Denver, CO, from October 12-15, 2025. The company is a silver sponsor of the event.

TekStream’s Workforce Academy is designed to accelerate the readiness of aspiring cybersecurity professionals at a time when the industry-wide talent shortage challenges public and private organizations alike. Backed by leading cloud and cybersecurity partners, including Splunk and AWS, the program delivers hands-on, real-world experience in a structured, self-paced format.

“Organizations continue to struggle with the challenges that result from the ongoing shortage of cybersecurity talent,” said TekStream CEO Rob Jansen. “We’re excited to continue expanding the reach of our Workforce Academy, helping public and private organizations alike close the talent gap and shore up their teams in a way that is affordable and easy to deploy.”

Already in place on several college campuses, including Louisiana State University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Louisiana Tech, the three-level Associate Security Analyst Certification program gives students a clear, structured path from entry-level tasks to advanced SOC responsibilities, starting with low-complexity alerts and advancing toward high-impact threats. Students graduate from the program with the skills of a level 2 cybersecurity professional. Additionally, TekStream’s Workforce Academy provides personalized cybersecurity career counseling to help students transition from classroom learning to professional careers.

Built on TekStream’s innovative co-managed security operations center (SOC) approach and whole-of-state framework, the Academy integrates workforce development with live operations and shared intelligence, helping states and institutions bolster their cyber defenses, cultivate talent pipelines and lower overall cybersecurity costs.
