Ag-West Bio Selects Interim CEO

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ag-West Bio’s Executive Search Committee has recommended Mike Wonnick, former Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, for the position of Interim CEO, effective October 1, 2025. This recommendation was unanimously supported by the Board of Directors.

Mike brings extensive financial management expertise, accountability, oversight experience, and strong leadership skills. His deep familiarity with Ag-West Bio and commitment to continuity and stability were key factors in the Committee’s decision. During his tenure as interim CEO, Mike will step down from his Board position, with plans to reinstate him upon completion of his term.

Jeff Bertholet, Chair of Ag-West Bio’s Board of Directors, says, “We have worked closely with outgoing Interim CEO Karen Churchill on this transition plan. Her performance as both President and CEO and Interim CEO has been exceptional, and the Board is grateful for her ongoing commitment to Ag-West Bio.”

The Board is committed to stability throughout this process and is determined to move through the transition as quickly as possible; they are also taking steps toward the search for a full time CEO early in the New Year.
