Freed Unveils EHR Push: One-Click AI Note Transfer Into Any Web-Based EHR

A new AI-powered feature allows small practices to instantly transfer patient notes into any browser-based EHR in seconds without the need for IT work or costly integrations.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Freed, the leading AI scribe built for the unique needs of small practices, today announced the launch of EHR Push, an AI-powered feature that allows clinicians to move notes from Freed's AI scribe directly into any web-based electronic health record (EHR) with a single click, without the need for APIs, IT support, or costly integrations.

"AI is transforming what's possible for clinician workflows, especially for smaller practices. With EHR Push, setup takes minutes and requires no technical work—and the hours saved each week help clinicians focus on what matters most."

One Click Eliminates Hours of Tedious Work

For many clinicians, navigating their EHR is the most frustrating and time-consuming part of their workflow. With more than 500 different EHRs on the market, integration is fragmented and typically requires weeks of IT setup. For smaller practices with limited resources and smaller teams, this pain is especially acute: clunky integrations are time-consuming to install, expensive to fix, and frequently leave clinicians suffering through endless hours of data entry throughout their day.

EHR Push solves this problem. With a quick download of Freed's Chrome extension, clinicians can record a visit, generate their note, and send it directly into their EHR in seconds– all without the need for an IT team to help them get started. Adaptable to any browser-based EHR, it gives small practices access to the kind of workflow automation that larger health systems can usually only achieve with costly, custom integrations.

"I founded Freed after watching my wife spend weekends drowning in patient notes," said Erez Druk, Co-founder and CEO of Freed. "Clinicians tell us every day that the EHR is the hardest part of their job, and smaller practices rarely have the luxury of IT teams or big budgets for consultants. AI is transforming what's possible for clinician workflows, especially for smaller practices. With EHR Push, setup takes minutes and requires no technical work—and the hours saved each week help clinicians focus on what matters most: delivering excellent care while finding more balance in their lives. This is just the beginning—we’re building a world where clinicians spend their time on care, while agents handle the background work—documentation, coding assistance, follow‑ups, admin prep, and more."

No IT Team Required

Clinicians testing the feature in beta say it has already transformed their daily routines. "The EHR Push is a wonderful time-saving measure, which is continuing to make my work life easier by reducing the ‘cut and paste’ that I had to do previously,” said Freed customer Dr. Sam Broffitt. “It is so much more fun and fulfilling to finally be able to practice medicine the way I have always wanted to."

EHR Push maintains the same HIPAA compliance and security standards as all other Freed features. The feature will be available in free beta through the end of 2025, before becoming generally available in 2026 as part of Freed's broader product offerings.

Building Momentum

The launch of EHR Push comes as Freed continues to scale. Freed has nearly 25,000 paying clinicians across 96 specialties. Earlier this year, Freed raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia Capital, bringing its total funding to $34 million.
