Publix Pharmacy is Now Offering the COVID-19 Vaccine in Florida

LAKELAND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Following today’s Board of Pharmacy clarification of existing statutes and rules, Publix pharmacies in Florida are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals 18 years and older.

Publix Pharmacy locations outside of Florida are currently administering COVID-19 vaccines according to state guidelines.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted the following approvals for the updated 2025 – 2026 COVID-19 vaccines:

  • Individuals 65 years of age and older are eligible to receive a single dose.
  • Individuals 64 years of age and younger with at least one underlying condition that puts them at high risk for severe outcomes from COVID-19 are eligible to receive a single dose.

In-store Publix pharmacies in Florida are now accepting walk-ins for eligible patients. Customers may also use the online reservation system at publix.com/vaccines to schedule an appointment for as early as tomorrow, Sept. 24.
