Syniverse's Justin Dellaportas Named EVP and Chief Information Security and Digital Services Officer

Expanded role unites cybersecurity with digital services and internal systems to strengthen operations and enhance user experience

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Syniverse, the world's most connected company®, has named Justin Dellaportas Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security and Digital Services Officer in a step that ensures cybersecurity remains fully integrated with the company's operations and strategy.

Dellaportas, who previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, has expanded his role to include leadership of Syniverse's newly formed Information Security and Digital Service function. This function brings together enterprise information security, the IT project management office, business operating systems, workplace technology and collaboration, and user experience. The integrative structure reflects the growing importance of secure, scalable, and connected technology services across the company.

Under Dellaportas' guidance, Syniverse will continue to modernize its internal platforms and digital workplace, ensuring security remains at the core of its products and services while enabling trusted solutions for telecommunications companies worldwide.

"Justin has been instrumental in advancing how we manage technology and security and has consistently earned the trust of colleagues and customers along the way," said Andrew Davies, CEO of Syniverse. "His expanded responsibilities will broaden that influence as we continue empowering enterprises and carriers with dependable connections that power global communications."

Since joining Syniverse in 2021, Dellaportas has positioned cybersecurity as a core business priority. He implemented and executed a multi-year strategy that embedded security across the organization, and he built a skilled technical team that accelerated incident response times, strengthened compliance practices, and improved risk management strategies.

One of Dellaportas' priorities will be to drive digital transformation and introduce stronger governance across Syniverse's internal systems. This move will provide consistent insights to support commercial and operational decision-making, unlocking new opportunities to enhance global connectivity and communication.

"We're at a point where secure communications and trusted connections are more critical than ever," Dellaportas said. “Connections must be trusted at every level, from the systems inside our company to the services our customers deliver. Bringing our technological teams together makes us more adaptable as we continue fueling the next wave of innovation in global communications."

Dellaportas, who was named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal's "40 Under 40" in 2023, held cybersecurity leadership roles at Nielsen and engineering positions at Lockheed Martin before joining Syniverse. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Central Florida, a GIAC Security Essentials Certification from the SANS Institute, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
