Ametros Appoints Shawn Deane as General Counsel

Webster Bank Managing Director and former Ametros leader rejoins company to guide legal and compliance operations

WILMINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ametros, the industry leader in professional administration of medical insurance claims settlements and a division of Webster Bank, N.A., has announced the return of Shawn Deane as General Counsel. Deane, who also serves as Managing Director at Webster Bank, will oversee Ametros’ legal, regulatory, and compliance operations as part of its executive leadership team.

Deane previously held a leadership role with Ametros and brings nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare law, insurance, and Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) compliance. He is a recognized industry expert in workers’ compensation, Medicare Set Asides (MSAs), and Medicare compliance, with prior senior positions at leading MSP organizations.

He holds degrees from Berklee College of Music, Cambridge College, and the Massachusetts School of Law, and resides in Massachusetts with his family.
