Scotland County Hospital Advances Community-Based Services with MEDITECH’s Expanse EHR

A single patient record now connects the hospital with its rural health clinics to improve healthcare decision-making and empower patients

CANTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scotland County Hospital (Memphis, MO) recently went Live with MEDITECH’s Expanse Electronic Health Record, on the MEDITECH-as-a-Service (MaaS) cloud-based subscription model. The organization chose Expanse to help improve patient care access and quality throughout its non-profit district hospital, as well as four hospital-based rural health clinics in Scotland, Clark, Knox, and Schuyler counties.

As the only hospital within a five-county area of Northeast Missouri, Expanse enables the health system to expand its ambulatory, oncology, and maternity services to its local community, reducing the need for extended travel.
