LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) announced the launch of its new website, offering a highly-tailored platform that connects visitors to trusted information and resources on prostate cancer diagnosis, treatments, science and fundraising initiatives designed to improve patients’ lives, accelerate research and advance medical breakthroughs. The website reflects PCF’s position as world’s leading philanthropic organization dedicated to funding prostate cancer research and the authoritative source for prostate cancer information.

“Adopting a user-focused approach, we wanted to create a modern, information-rich and engaging website that would serve as the ideal online portal for all prostate cancer stakeholders,” said Gina Carithers, PCF’s president and CEO. “The aim is to offer valuable, actionable information that educates and assists site visitors on all aspects related to the patient journey in prostate cancer, while also strengthening and expanding the community aligned behind PCF’s mission to defeat prostate cancer.”

The new PCF website engages visitors right from the homepage, through content and navigation that are tailored and relevant to their real-time interests, needs and/or personal prostate cancer journeys. Patients and caregivers are also one click away from a wealth of information to better understand prostate cancer and to empower them to make decisions about their health, such as “What is PSA?”; as well as resources about diagnosis and treatment, including emerging therapies and clinical trials. The site also features multifaceted content, including videos with the world’s leading prostate cancer experts discussing diagnosis and treatment options in clear, patient-centered terms. In the Prostate Cancer & Patient Supportsection, caregivers will also find a myriad of resources, including links to support groups, webinars, patient profiles and personal stories of care advocates.

PCF has also streamlined the donor process in the site’s Take Action section, helping visitors to better understand the multiple ways they can support the cause to make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer.

The website also fosters ongoing engagement in the prostate cancer community by allowing individuals to choose the types of information they wish to receive based on their connection to prostate cancer.
