Sports Industry Veteran Dan Donnelly joins VideoAmp as Head of Sports Strategy

FOX Sports alum Donnelly to grow VideoAmp sports practice

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VideoAmp, a media measurement company transforming advertising, has appointed Dan Donnelly as Head of Sports Strategy to accelerate growth for its sports practice and enhance the company’s measurement efforts within the industry.

Donnelly brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and brand partnerships. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Ad Sales Strategy for FOX Sports, where he oversaw strategic efforts influencing multi-billion dollars in ad revenue. His career includes leadership roles at Publicis Media's U.S. Sports and Entertainment division and Starcom Mediavest Group. He has a strong track record of successfully negotiating multiple high-profile media partnerships with major sports leagues, securing multi-year TV deals for Anheuser-Busch across the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, NASCAR, NCAA, PGA Tour, Olympics, and World Cup Soccer.

At VideoAmp, Donnelly will be focused on addressing the need for accurate cross-platform measurement in the fragmented sports media landscape, strengthening and expanding VideoAmp's portfolio of partnerships and accelerating technological capabilities to meet the rising demand for precision in sports advertising.

“After so many years in media and marketing, working with brands, media owners, leagues, and agencies, I'm excited to join VideoAmp where technology is at the heart of smarter planning, measurement, and optimization,” says Dan Donnelly. “It’s about leveraging data to drive more efficient and effective strategies, all with the ultimate goal of tracking and enhancing brand and business outcomes. Being part of a team that’s pushing the boundaries of how we measure success in advertising is truly inspiring, and I’m eager to contribute to this transformative journey.”

With nearly half of all media revenue generated from live sporting events, and the close relationship between sports and Out-of-Home (OOH) viewing, high-quality sports measurement is essential. VideoAmp's advanced OOH measurement solution utilizes big data from TVs and smartphones to provide actionable insights. Donnelly will play a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding VideoAmp’s already impressive portfolio, which includes high-profile partners like Netflix Raw/WWE and CBS Sports.

“VideoAmp could not be more excited to welcome Dan on board to lead our Sports practice,” commented Bryan Goski, Executive Vice President of Revenue at VideoAmp. “As a 20-year industry veteran with deep expertise with agencies, brands, and publishers in the Sports vertical, I have no doubt that he will add immense value to our team and help us realize our mission to provide the highest quality of measurement to our partners.”
