JCPenney Proves Big Fashion Energy Comes in All Shapes and Sizes with New Collab and Petite Power List

Award-winning pop singer Ally Brooke and JCPenney launch first-of-its-kind collection that starts with petites and puts FIT into fashion.

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JCPenney is going big on petite fashion with its new collection designed to flatter all body types, no matter their stature. Designed in partnership with multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Ally Brooke, and inspired by her own challenges finding trend-forward fashion that fits, the Bold Elements x Ally Brooke collection is designed to bring out the “Big Fashion Energy” in everyone, for the first time ever with a special focus on petites – an often-overlooked group seeking stylish, proportional designs.

“I’m proud to partner with JCPenney to launch this collection because I want every woman to feel empowered and confident with fashion that fits – no matter her size or identity,” Ally Brooke said.

Historically, trends like long trench coats and crop tops may have seemed unrealistic to petite or plus body types. Not anymore. Now available in select stores and online, just in time for fashion week, the Bold Elements x Ally Brooke collection challenges every fashion ‘rule’ for different body types, building on JCPenney’s legacy of inclusive style leadership, and delivering and celebrating fit, quality and trend – all at an affordable price.

Bold Elements x Ally Brooke includes 29 on-trend, body-positive pieces – from monochromatic sets to flirty prints and rich textures – available in petite, standard and plus-sizing, with prices starting at $30. Styles and sizes can mix and match for the perfect proportions and easily transition from polished office chic to a night on the town. Bold Elements is a JCPenney private-label brand and now welcomes the new curated collection for a limited time only.

“At 5’0”, I know firsthand how being petite has its challenges, especially in the entertainment industry and in positions of power. I have often been overlooked, whether because of my stature or my identity as a Latina woman,” Ally Brooke said. “I’m proud to partner with JCPenney to launch this collection because I want every woman to feel empowered and confident with fashion that fits – no matter her size or identity.”

Being petite in size holds no bearing on making a big impact in life, which is why JCPenney is announcing the first of its kind “Petite Power List,” featuring eight influential petite women – from entrepreneurs and content creators to fashionistas and philanthropists. The Petite Power List will be announced at a special event in New York, February 5th, where honorees will be celebrated alongside Ally Brooke.

Petite Power List honorees will be granted up to $5,000 each toward nonprofits of their choosing, helping them continue making a positive impact on their communities, or the choice of a mentorship opportunity from Ally Brooke or Catalyst Brands’ Chief Customer and Marketing Officer, and fellow petite powerhouse, Marisa Thalberg.

“Inclusivity has always been a top priority for JCPenney, and we’re excited to deliver on that promise with this new collection, specifically tailored to petite women – who are often left out of fashion spaces and conversations,” Marisa Thalberg said. “Uplifting women is in JCPenney’s DNA, and we’re honored to work with Ally to mentor these trailblazers on the ‘Petite Power List’ and help them make an even bigger difference.”

The Bold Elements x Ally Brooke collection can be shopped on JCPenney.com and in select JCPenney stores. To celebrate the launch of her collection, Ally will be making an appearance in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas at the JCPenney located in the North Star Mall, Saturday, Jan. 25 from 4 – 6 p.m. CT.
