Quectel Adds Three New Antennas to Bring Greater Choice and Performance to Designers and Developers

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, has announced three new antennas at CES 2025. The new additions to the Quectel antenna portfolio include the YEGN103W8A active GNSS antenna, the YECT004W1A 5G terminal mount external dipole antenna and the YFTA009E3AM passive L-band, GNSS and Iridium antenna.

“We continually bring new additions to our comprehensive portfolio of antennas to ensure device designers and developers can find the ideal antenna to match their project needs,” commented Norbert Muhrer, President and CSO, Quectel Wireless Solutions. “These new antennas bring greater choice to customers who can also take advantage of our custom antenna solutions to get to market faster.”

The YEGN103W8A combines full band RTK GNSS and non-terrestrial network (NTN) capabilities. This newly released active GNSS antenna operates in the 1164-1300MHz and 1525-1606MHz frequency bands, supporting multi-band GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo and L-Band satellite connections. The antenna is ideal for use cases with high-precision positioning requirements and is CE, RoHS and REACH compliant.

With an RG174 SMA Male to TNC male connector, the YEGN103W8A features magnetic support options with bracket length of approximately 75mm. The antenna has a diameter of 146.4mm and depth of 71.43mm, operates in the -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range and has an IP67 ingress protection rating.

The YECT004W1A is an ultra-wideband 5G external dipole antenna designed for terminal mounting, offering backward compatibility with 4G, 3G, and 2G networks, as well as support for LTE Cat-M and NB-IoT applications. With dimensions of 135mm × 15.6mm × 13mm, the antenna operates across a broad 600-6000MHz frequency range and is available with Fakra series, TNC series, or SMA male connectors. Ideal for use cases that require a discrete antenna, the YECT004W1A has a low profile and offers terminal mount, omni-directional capability with easy install.

The YECT004W1A is suitable for gateways and routers, smart meters, vending machines, industrial IoT applications, smart home devices and connected enterprise deployments, thanks to its high gain and efficiency. Operating in the -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range, the antenna boasts IP67 protection after installation and is both RoHS and REACH compliant.

Designed to be used specifically with the CC200A satellite communication module, the YFTA009E3AM supports GNSS L1 in the 1559-1606MHz frequency band, Iridium in the 1616-1626.5MHz frequency band and L-band transmission in the 1626.5-1660.5MHz and 1668-1675MHz frequency bands. L-band reception is supported in the 1518-1559MHz band.

With dimensions of 80mm x 80mm x 13.3mm, the YFTA009E3AM offers a screw or buckle mounting type and an IPEX MHF 1 connector. Weighing 56.1g, the antenna operates in the -40 °C to +85 °C temperature range and is both RoHS and REACH compliant. Key performance criteria include peak gain of 5.65dBi and customised connector types and cable lengths can be provided.
