CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Liftoff of the Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU) (the “Company” or “Sidus”), an innovative, agile space mission enabler, LizzieSat™-2 is targeted for December 21, 2024 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California as part of the Bandwagon-2 rideshare mission with SpaceX. LizzieSat™-2, designed and manufactured at Sidus Space’s state-of-the-art facility on Florida’s Space Coast, features an advanced sensor suite, including AIS, methane detection, advanced visual spectrum sensors, and the HEO Holmes Imager. The satellite incorporates Sidus’ proprietary FeatherEdge™ AI processor, enabling on-orbit data processing for applications such as Space Situational Awareness (SSA), non-Earth Imaging, maritime monitoring, environmental assessments and disaster response. LizzieSat™-2 not only hosts proprietary and customer payloads but also expands Sidus’ subscriber base for its data-as-a-service solutions.
