NIQ Appoints Dan Bonert as Head of Retail Media in North America

The Amazon and The Trade Desk alumni will lead NIQ’s retail media strategies, driving innovation in how brands connect with consumers

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NielsenIQ (NIQ) is excited to announce the appointment of Dan Bonert as the new head of retail media in North America, effective December 30, 2024. Bonert brings over 25 years of extensive media and SaaS experience to his new role, where he will oversee NIQ’s retail media business. With this appointment, NIQ will amplify the use and integration of its unique data assets to help retailers create more powerful retail media insights and offerings. Bonert will focus on driving innovation in the ways manufacturers and retailers connect with shoppers, providing actionable insights to optimize retail media performance.

At the beginning of 2024, NIQ announced the launch of its Media Division, a strategic initiative designed to enhance the value advertisers derive from their marketing efforts and enable partners in support of our advertiser clients. Bonert’s appointment is another step in building out NIQ’s multi-pronged media strategy, bringing together the best talent, data, and products to provide clients with unparalleled service.

Bonert brings extensive experience from roles at The Trade Desk and Amazon. At The Trade Desk, he brought innovative retail media solutions to market, partnering with industry leading retailers to deliver tailored and scalable solutions, while helping marketers harness retail data to achieve business outcomes. At Amazon, he led the expansion of the CPG Food and Confectionary ad offerings business, building strategic partnerships and delivering significant business growth for Amazon and his clients.
