The Best Law Firms list is developed annually by The Best Lawyers in America through extensive editorial research, peer review and client feedback. To be named to the list, a firm must have at least one attorney recognized as a Best Lawyer. All three Johnston Tobey Baruch name shareholders received repeat honors as Best Lawyers for 2025. Additionally, Robert Tobey was named a “Lawyer of the Year” for Dallas-Fort Worth by Best Lawyers for 2025, a pinnacle honor awarded to only 0.4% of the nation’s attorneys.

Shareholders Randy Johnston, Mr. Tobey, and Mr. Baruch are each board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

The firm’s honor comes on the heels of a recent victory at the Texas Supreme Court in a case that set precedent for procedural issues for Texas litigators. Learn more here.
