Wellbeing for Women in Perimenopause and Beyond: Felix Health Presents Inaugural National Menopause Show
Canada’s newest provider of on-demand menopause care is sponsoring the event on October 26 in Toronto.
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Felix Health, a virtual care provider helping Canadians manage their everyday health needs, is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the National Menopause Show. The show, expecting 3,000 attendees, is the first-of-its-kind in Canada devoted to highlighting evidence-based options for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Felix offers on-demand menopause services, addressing the concerns of an often overlooked and underserved segment of the population.
While hot flashes and change in menstruation are the hallmarks of menopause, many women are unaware there are myriad additional life-altering symptoms like sleep disturbances, mood disorders, and urinary tract infections.1
Angela Macgregor, the show’s founder, encountered numerous symptoms that unbeknownst to her were related to menopause. Prompted by this experience, she wanted to create an event that connected women with resources, doctors, and menopause experts.
With nearly 50%2 of women reporting feeling unprepared for perimenopause and menopause, Angela realized there was a huge opportunity to help clear up misconceptions and provide a safe space for people to connect with evidence-based services and treatments.
“I think it’s really important that women know that they’re not alone in this journey – there is help out there," said Macgregor. “It’s also important that we connect with each other in order to have an understanding of what another woman’s path has been so we can help one another. The objective of this event is to create a community for women and for their health and wellness.”
Felix established Canada’s newest on-demand menopause offering in March, delivering clinically proven treatments and supplements under the guidance of menopause-informed practitioners.
“Since launching Felix’s menopause service, we’ve been flooded with interest, with over 2,000 patients accessing care in the first few months,” said Dr. Kelly Anderson, Medical Director at Felix. “This speaks to the high demand for menopause care in Canada. Felix is proud to present this inaugural show and we’re passionate about the larger conversation around broadening access to everyday health treatment for women.”
