Pryor Cashman Welcomes Maxwell Breed to Its Real Estate Litigation Practice

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pryor Cashman is pleased to announce that Maxwell Breed has joined the firm as a partner in the Real Estate Litigation Practice. Maxwell comes to Pryor Cashman from Warshaw Burstein, where he was a partner, member of the management committee, and co-chair of the litigation group.

Maxwell’s practice focuses on providing counsel and strategic direction for real estate portfolios and developers. He brings to the firm extensive experience with ownership, business-control, and lease controversies, and with rent regulation and co-op and condominium matters. He represents individuals and companies in and out of court, and frequently serves as outside general counsel for real estate owner-operators.

Maxwell is based in the firm’s New York office.

“Maxwell is joining us because our platform will help him build his already impressive client base and practice—and will add strength to ours,” said Ronald Shechtman, Managing Partner of Pryor Cashman.

“This is an exciting moment to have Maxwell join our team,” said Partner Todd Soloway, chair of the Real Estate Litigation Practice and co-chair of the Litigation Group. “The matters we are involved with will have long-term impacts, and we are thrilled to have Maxwell’s experience and skill set in the mix.”

“The reputations of Pryor Cashman as a firm and of this practice in particular are well-known across our industry,” said Maxwell. “I’m beyond excited to join this real estate litigation team and to offer Pryor’s full depth of talent and services to my clients.”
