AlertMedia Appoints Jeffrey Dean as Vice President of Global Intelligence Operations

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AlertMedia, the world’s leading threat intelligence, emergency communication, and travel risk management provider, today announced Jeff Dean has joined the company as Vice President of Global Intelligence Operations. In his new role, Dean will leverage his extensive experience gained over 35 years in physical security, risk management, and crisis management leadership roles to enhance the depth and breadth of AlertMedia’s coverage of the global threat landscape.

Dean joins AlertMedia from Databricks, Inc., where he served as the Senior Director of Physical Security and Employee Safety. During his tenure, he spearheaded the creation of a standardized platform for physical security systems to enhance asset protection and pioneered a company-wide risk awareness program to deliver crucial information and recommended countermeasures to safeguard Databricks’ employees and operations.

Prior to Databricks, Dean held various security leadership roles at multiple organizations, including Citrix, Arrow Electronics, Securitas, and Pinkerton Security Services, where he played a key role in implementing comprehensive risk management programs. At Citrix, Dean established and scaled a global security program to safeguard personnel, assets, and operations while building four ‘centers of excellence’ focused on global security operations, organizational resilience, occupational health & safety, and security intelligence and analytics. Earlier in his professional life, Dean also served in the United States Marine Corps as a counterintelligence officer, directing the planning, briefing, and execution of counterintelligence operations and investigations for the Department of Defense, among other duties.
