CUPE Local 1356-02 Reaches Tentative Agreement with York University

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CUPE Local 1356-02 is pleased to announce that a tentative agreement with York University has been reached. The Local represents 73 Safety Workers employed by York. Their duties include walking students home as part of the goSAFE program and monitoring the campus CCTV system.

“The agreement details, a product of our collective efforts, will be shared only after the membership has had a chance to vote on it,” says Local President Frank D’Agostino.

“These were difficult negotiations but suffice it to say that the bargaining team and I feel comfortable recommending this agreement to our members,” continued D’Agostino.
