Federman & Sherwood Investigates El Centro Del Barrio for Data Breach

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into El Centro Del Barrio with respect to their recent data breach. On May 20, 2024, El Centro Del Barrio d/b/a CentroMed filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Texas after discovering that an unauthorized party was able to access confidential information belonging to certain current and former patients. In the notice, CentroMed explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access patients’ sensitive information, which includes the individuals name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, financial account information, medical records numbers, health insurance information, and diagnosis and treatment information.
