Potter Handy Law Firm Files Groundbreaking Lawsuit Against Bloom Energy for Unlawful Business Practices

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On March 19, Potter Handy LLP filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of plaintiff Adonis Nabong and other similarly situated employees against Bloom Energy Corporation for engaging in unfair competition and violating labor codes in the state of California.

The lawsuit, Nabong v. Bloom Energy, seeks monetary relief for unpaid wages and interest from March 5, 2020, to the present day, as well as disgorgement of all profits gained by the company through its unlawful and fraudulent actions. The complaint alleges that Bloom Energy used credit checks to discriminate against employees and wrongfully terminated them, in violation of California labor codes §§ 432.3, 1024.5, and 1102.5.

Mark Potter, founding partner of Potter Handy LLP, stated, "We believe that Bloom Energy's actions not only violate labor laws but also undermine the fundamental rights and dignity of its employees. Our firm is committed to fighting for justice on behalf of Mr. Nabong and other employees who have suffered due to Bloom Energy's unfair business practices."

Lead counsel for the plaintiff, Jim Treglio of Potter Handy LLP, added, "This is a groundbreaking case that sheds light on the unethical conduct of companies like Bloom Energy. We are determined to hold them accountable for their actions and seek justice for all affected employees."

The lawsuit also demands an injunction to prohibit Bloom Energy from further unlawful conduct and calls for the creation of an administrative process for employees to claim their rightful wages. Additionally, the plaintiff seeks restitution for all aggrieved employees and a declaration by the court that Bloom Energy has violated California's Unfair Competition Law.

Potter Handy Law Firm urges anyone who has been a victim of Bloom Energy's discriminatory practices to come forward and join the class-action lawsuit. For more information, please contact Potter Handy Law Firm at 415-534-1911 or visit its website at www.potterhandy.com.
