Charles Melcher Joins RoadSafe Traffic Systems as Chief Operating Officer

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. (“RoadSafe”), a leading provider of infrastructure services, today announced Charles Melcher has joined the firm in the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Melcher has over a decade of leadership experience at mid-market industrial, environmental, logistics, energy, manufacturing and technology companies. In this role, Melcher will oversee day-to-day operations, with a focus on driving operational efficiency to position the company for future growth. He will report to Kevin O’Meara, Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining RoadSafe, Melcher served as President of Keystone Shipping Company, a 110-year-old family-owned maritime logistics and commodity trading company. During his tenure, he helped modernize operations, drive growth, and restore profitability to effectively position the company for future progress. Additionally, Melcher recently served as interim Chief Operating Officer at VEX Energy, where he guided investors, selected technologies, managed regulatory requirements, and delivered environmental projects to maximize investor returns. He has also previously held leadership roles at Vicinity Energy and Veolia Nuclear Solutions.
