DiversityComm Magazine Names Aramark as a 2024 Top Supplier Diversity Program for Women's Business Enterprises

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aramark, (NYSE: ARMK), a leading global provider of food and facilities services, with operations spanning the education, healthcare, business and industry, sports, leisure, and corrections sectors, was recognized on DiversityComm, Inc.’s (DCI) annual list of the Best of the Best Top Supplier Diversity Programs for Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs).

DiversityComm’s Best of the Best lists recognize organizations that have gone above and beyond to create more inclusive, equitable workspaces where diverse talent can be recruited, developed, and retained.

The 2024 Top Supplier Diversity Programs for WBEs list highlights Fortune 1000 companies dedicated to empowering multicultural women in business. As a vital resource for job seekers, business owners, and industry leaders, this accolade showcases those who not only advocate for, but actively engage in, practices supporting Women Business Enterprises.

As reported in the 2023 Be Well. Do Well. Progress Report, Aramark’s goal is to increase its spend with diverse-owned, local, and small businesses to 25% throughout its U.S. supply chain by 2025.

“We couldn’t be prouder to join the exemplary league of supplier diversity programs recognized by DiversityComm,” said Natily Santos, Vice President of Responsible Sourcing at Aramark. “We work with thousands of small and diverse suppliers every day, to supply goods and services. These relationships drive economic empowerment, foster inclusivity, and ensure our supplier base is innovative and competitive. Our supplier diversity program has been instrumental in supporting our clients and driving overall satisfaction and growth.”

Aramark continues to receive accolades for its commitment to supplier diversity. In addition to this recognition from DiversityComm Magazine, Aramark also received an award for “Outstanding Community Partnership” at the University of Delaware’s Supplier Diversity Conference 2024, earlier this month. The awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of outstanding businesses in the supplier diversity space. Last year, Fair360 (formerly known as DiversityInc) ranked Aramark on the Top Companies for Supplier Diversity list, at number 20, and the Women’s Business Enterprise Council East Region (WBEC-East) presented Aramark with the “Done Deals Award,” in late 2022, for purchasing from and partnering with WBEs.
