AllerVie Health Expands Technology Infrastructure to Prioritize Innovation and Patient Experience

In 2023, AllerVie broadened its technology solutions nationwide with pulmonary function testing, a new electronic medical record system, and advanced respiratory health tools.

DALLAS--()--Today, AllerVie Health, a leading national provider of allergy and immunology services, announced the extensive optimization of its digital infrastructure within clinics across 12 states in 2023. The growth of patient care-centered technology includes the integration of an innovative pulmonary function testing solution, the implementation of a new electronic medical record (EMR) system, and improving quality of care with remote respiratory monitoring devices. Additionally, the company is seamlessly upgrading IT hardware and software to support these new technology solutions.

"We are excited about our technology transformations this year and how they are enabling us to advance patient care and outcomes," said Chris Roussos, CEO of AllerVie Health. "This transformation was an enormous undertaking for our team and required deep collaboration with leading healthcare technology providers and clinical innovators. We look forward to bringing these advancements to our patients for the next generation of care."

Key highlights of digital advancements include:

Integration of Pulmonary Function Testing Solution
In 2023, AllerVie Health expanded its deployment of a state-of-the-art pulmonary function testing solution to 30 clinics nationwide. This device enhances pulmonary function testing to better diagnose and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other lung-related disorders. This technology provides highly accurate and non-invasive pulmonary assessments to optimize patient care and enables fast and automated measurements of spirometry, lung volumes, and single-breath DLCO.

The comprehensive analysis and diagnostic data enable additional insights, contributing to better-informed medical decisions and personalized treatment.

New Electronic Medical Record System & Digital Patient Experience
AllerVie Health implemented a new electronic medical record (EMR) system in 14 clinics across Florida and Georgia during 2023. These advancements are designed to elevate patient care, allowing AllerVie to provide more comprehensive and secure healthcare services. The new patient portal will facilitate easier communication between providers and patients, ensuring a seamless and secure exchange of information and enhanced access to vital medical records.

Features include:

  • Secure messaging with providers
  • Convenient access to health records
  • Automated patient appointment reminders
  • Medication management and prescription refills
  • Digital check-in for routine allergy injection patients

The new EMR has been a go-forward solution for clinics in Alabama, Ohio, Florida, and Georgia, with the expanded rollout planned to reach 20+ clinic locations by the end of Q1 2024.

Cutting Edge Respiratory Health Tech
AllerVie Health's collaboration with a prominent digital health company specializing in respiratory health management broadens the utilization of a portable digital respiratory health tool and app across a more extensive range of clinics within the AllerVie Health network. This benefits patients with asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis. The life-saving device is currently being rolled out across AllerVie clinics spanning nine states, with plans to expand to additional states and clinics in the future.

The portable tool enables seamless communication between healthcare providers and patients, enhances patient engagement, and offers real-time insights to assist patients in minimizing unplanned hospital visits and reducing reliance on medications.
