Newsweek Names UKG a Great Workplace for Diversity for the Second Consecutive Year

LOWELL, Mass., & WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, workforce management, and culture solutions for all people, announced today that Newsweek named UKG to its America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity list for the second year in a row. This award is one in a series of recent wins recognizing UKG for its commitment to creating an equity-for-all workplace.

The company’s commitment to diversity is deeply embedded in its mission to inspire every organization to become a great place to work through technology built for all. UKG cultivates a people-centric approach to developing HCM technology while consistently evolving its benefits, policies, and programs to address the diverse needs of its own workforce.

UKG is also consistently evolving its benefits, policies, and programs to meet employees’ ever-evolving needs. Earlier in 2023, UKG expanded its global healthcare reimbursement program, covering gender-affirming care and in-vitro fertilization, along with enhanced family leave and bonding time for all parents. Additionally, UKG actively supports its diverse workforce through nine active Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

Beyond its programs and products, UKG recently introduced its State of Belonging, Equity and Impact at UKG — Stories with Purpose report to center around the people, organizations, and communities that have been changed for the better by its DEI&B programs and policies. When accessing Stories with Purpose, readers can dive into dozens of narratives that prove how diversity is good for people and good for business at UKG, including:

  • "Partnering to Uncover 'Hidden Talent'"
  • "Celebrating UKG's Black Women Workforce"
  • "Employee Resource Groups Make a Positive Business Impact"; and
  • "Creating Products Designed for All”

“We know that when we truly honor the differences of every employee so that they feel uniquely valued and can be uniquely themselves, we unleash their untapped potential, resulting in new ideas, innovation, and solutions to today’s biggest business opportunities,” said Brian K. Reaves, chief belonging, equity, and impact officer at UKG. “We also now have the technology to help ourselves and others continue to measure and improve their DEI&B and social impact outcomes. After all, what gets measured gets done. When companies combine HCM and WFM insights with culture solutions like the UKG Great Place To Work Hub, it gives them the foresight they need to dramatically improve business outcomes by focusing on their people and positioning them for maximum success.”

A Banner Year for DEI&B-related Recognition, Efforts at UKG

UKG has been recognized by well-respected organizations throughout 2023 for their ongoing DEI&B efforts, receiving numerous accolades including:

UKG recognizes that the DEI&B journey is never complete and strives to work with other leading companies to ever evolve its efforts. In 2023, UKG proudly joined forces with 10 esteemed global organizations in The Great Transformation, a groundbreaking three-year research initiative led by Great Place To Work. Together, they commit to targeted, data-backed pilot initiatives aimed at unlocking the full potential of all employees, fostering organizational productivity, agility, resilience, and innovation. Through this initiative, UKG reinforces its commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace while propelling forward on the continuous journey to creating a workplace environment of belonging for all.

“When we receive recognition like this, it’s really a mile marker for us as an organization that we are headed in the right direction,” said Pat Wadors, chief people officer at UKG. “We know that our destination is to create an equitable environment for all where every individual has an elevated workplace experience and feels a sense of belonging. I am always excited when our company is recognized because it affirms that we are on the right path — and of course the work is never done. My hope is we also inspire other organizations to join us on this never-ending journey of belonging.”
