On-Base Military Housing Occupancy Remains Strong

Communities Across Corvias’ Portfolio Meet Needs of Modern Military Families

WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With average occupancy across seven military installations hovering around 95%, on-base homes managed by Corvias Property Management (CPM) are a highly desirable option for service members and their families. Several also have a robust waitlist, signaling interest isn’t slowing down.

The convenience of living on-base, combined with a wide variety of floor plans and modern home features, piques the interest of potential residents. Over the summer, families were welcomed into newly constructed homes at Fort Riley that include sleek cabinets, high efficiency appliances, luxury vinyl flooring and ample storage. Home sizes vary across installations and are able to cater to families of all sizes.

Resident and maintenance teams keep customer service at the forefront, which is reflected in high satisfaction scores on move-in and work order surveys prevalent across all installations. After each move in, a member of the resident management team regularly checks in on the new families to ensure a seamless transition to their new home. Maintenance teams are available to respond to both routine work requests and requests for emergency work orders, even after hours.

One of the biggest perks of living on-base is the sense of community residents share. Military families all face a common set of challenges, so having a strong local support system is important. Additionally, the CPM team creates more opportunity for connection through frequent resident events. Fallapalooza, typically held in October, kicks off autumn with a wide range of family fun for all ages. This event often includes bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, costume contests and fun giveaways. Other events throughout the year range from holiday-themed socials, an end of summer pet plunge in the community pool, couples painting night and activities to celebrate the Month of the Military Child in April.

“As this year’s Permanent Change of Station season comes to a close, each new family offers us another chance to make them feel right at home. Our community events provide that perfect space to welcome residents to the community and introduce them to their neighbors in a fun and casual atmosphere,” said Denise Hauck, senior vice president, property operations.

Looking forward, continued improvements to CPM housing communities are on the horizon. Targeted home renovations along with updates to playgrounds, roads and sidewalks will make neighborhoods even more attractive to service members and their families.
