Inaugural “Acrisure Classic” College Basketball Game Sets Viewership Record

Over 5 Million Fans Watched Michigan State and Arizona on Thanksgiving Day

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Per Nielsen Media Research, 5.18 million people watched the inaugural “Acrisure Classic” on Thanksgiving Day on FOX, a college basketball game organized by UTA Sports in which the Michigan State Spartans took on the Arizona Wildcats. This is the largest regular season college basketball audience in the last 15 years as well as the most watched college basketball game ever aired on FOX.

The game took place at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California, in front of an audience of nearly 10,000 fans who spent Thanksgiving cheering on the Spartans and Wildcats. The contest was the most viewed college basketball game since a North Carolina-Duke game on ESPN in 2008.
