Pipedrive Welcomes Phillip Mellet as the New General Counsel

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pipedrive, the easy and effective sales CRM for small businesses, today announced the appointment of Phillip Mellet as its new General Counsel. With more than 15 years of experience in corporate, transactional and litigation roles, Mellet will be responsible for overseeing the company’s legal, governance, compliance and audit functions.

In his role, Mellet will be advising the leadership team on strategy and solutions regarding laws and regulations affecting Pipedrive’s business environment, customers and employees. As a leader of the global Legal team and outside counsel, he will be overseeing internal programs and processes such as governance, risk management, compliance, contracts, employee matters, third-party litigation and registrations.

Before joining Pipedrive, Mellet was the SVP & General Counsel at Healthpilot, a digital insurance broker providing a shopping, quoting and enrollment experience for Medicare-eligible individuals seeking health insurance. From 2013 to 2020, he served as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at InstaMed, a fintech company acquired by JPMorgan Chase that provides payment solutions in the healthcare industry. Mellet started his professional career as a corporate and securities attorney at Troutman Pepper LLP. He has a JD and MBA from Villanova University and a Finance degree from Pennsylvania State University.
