Dino Rizzo, Co-Founder of ARC Churches, Discusses Church Planting in Recent Episode of Unscripted

Dino Rizzo of ARC (Association of Related Churches) meets Earl and Oneka McClellan in Dallas for UNSCRIPTED. The couple shares Shoreline City Church’s growth, church planting, and overcoming challenges. The web series supports ARC’s mission to aid independent churches.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pastor Dino Rizzo, the executive director of ARC (Association of Related Churches), met with Earl and Oneka McClellan of Shoreline City Church in Dallas, Texas, for a frank discussion for the third episode of Season 3 of the UNSCRIPTED web series.

It’s been a long journey for the McClellans, who started their church with just a Bible study that was held in a nursing home back in 2012. Today, their church has grown into multiple locations, offers multiple services, and even expanded internationally into Guatemala.

The couple, who have been married for more than 20 years, have three children. They’re exceptional visionaries and dynamic communicators who are passionate about cultivating the future leaders of the world.

For this episode of UNSCRIPTED, Pastor Dino traveled to Dallas to meet with the McClellans. During the conversation, they unpacked many aspects of how Shoreline started, as well as the couple’s commitment to a healthy partnership and marriage through every stage.

A big part of how Shoreline began, they said, was that they wanted to plant a church in an area that was highly “unchurched.” They felt called by God to Dallas, and after seeking counsel and honoring local pastors, they discovered the perfect part of the city to start their church.

In the UNSCRIPTED episode, Rizzo and the McClellans also discuss how to honor and take your time so you land in the right place, how to learn to lead together and overcome individual insecurities at the same time, how to feed confidence and security in your spouse and co-leader, one thing they didn’t do during launch they wish they had, and how to deal with criticism, skepticism and the pain of relationships that shift.

Throughout the UNSCRIPTED series, Dino Rizzo visits exceptional pastors and church leaders throughout the world for sit-down conversations.

UNSCRIPTED is a series of candid discussions surrounding church planting, struggles, leadership, and relationships. The episodes are completely honest, unscripted conversations between Pastor Dino Rizzo and his guests.

The web series helps to expand the overall mission of ARC (Association of Related Churches) to support independent churches around the country in their aims to spread the word of Jesus.

ARC (Association of Related Churches) provides the financial and training support that these new church planters need to not only survive but thrive.
