Philips ranks #1 in ‘Health Care Equipment & Services’ sector on Forbes’ 2023 ‘World’s Best Employers’ List

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, today announced that once again, the company earned a spot on Forbes’ 2023 “World’s Best Employers” list. Philips has appeared within the top 100 for the past four years, and holds this position among the 700 organizations around the globe that were included in the 2023 list. Philips’ ranking identifies the company as the best employer in the world in the Health Care Equipment & Services category.

“Philips attracts world-class, passionate people who rally around the purpose of improving the lives of others. We have an unwavering commitment to foster a workplace where every individual is empowered, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential, and to do so while being their true self,” said Heidi Sichien, Chief People Officer at Philips. “This ranking, which is based on input from our employees and other professionals, is meaningful as our goal is to be the best place to work for people who share our passion, promoting personal development, inclusion and diversity.”

Forbes polled 170,000 workers from more than 55 countries, asking them which companies they regarded as the most desirable to be employed by. Survey participants were asked to rate the companies on aspects such as image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility. Respondents assessed their own current employer and other companies in their industry.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile the list. Philips also ranked in Forbes’ Best Employers for Women and Best Employers for Diversity lists earlier this year.
