AHF Honors and Remembers Senator Dianne Feinstein

Global AIDS care nonprofit remembers longest-serving female United States Senator as an early, stalwart supporter of AIDS funding and champion of LGBTQ+ rights across the country and around the globe

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) mourns the death of United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, an early champion in the human rights movement. Feinstein, 90, died earlier today in San Francisco.

Diane Feinstein was an early, stalwart supporter of AIDS funding in the US and across the world. In 1996, she said at the opening of Linn House, one of AHF's three AIDS hospices, that she hoped that hospice would be the last, and indeed it was.

“Dianne Feinstein was a stalwart supporter of AIDS funding in the US and across the world,” said Michael Weinstein, founder, and president of AHF. “AIDS Healthcare Foundation had the honor of hosting her at our hospices at the height of the death and dying in the late eighties. In 1996, she said at the opening of Linn House that she hoped that hospice would be the last, and indeed it was.
