Building Transparency Announces New Embodied Carbon Action Series

Video Series to Provide an Inside-Look into the Nonprofit’s Impressive Roster of Team Members and their Industry Expertise

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Building Transparency, a nonprofit organization that provides open access data and tools to foster a better building future, today announces its seven-part Embodied Carbon Action series, which aims to provide a glimpse into the organization’s mission through the eyes of its internal team. Each episode will be led by a different team member, sharing their expertise on Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Data Accountability, Environmental Policy, Low-Carbon Material Procurement, and more.

The live video series will spark conversation about the built environment’s overall carbon impact and the importance of driving embodied carbon action throughout the architecture, design and construction industry.

“Each Building Transparency team member brings a unique set of skills and expertise that we’re excited to share with those eager to learn,” said Stacy Smedley, Executive Director of Building Transparency. “Our goal with this series is to provide an educational and collaborative experience, diving deep into embodied carbon and its impact on the world while also putting faces to the Building Transparency name. We want attendees to leave feeling emboldened to take action and as though they have a solid grasp on the state of the industry.”

The first session of the series will be led by Stacy Smedley on August 3rd at 12 PM EST.
